The MacKenzie Home

Reflecting on the MacKenzie Home

At Urban Potluck Sales, we have had the privilege of overseeing countless estate sales, but the MacKenzie Home sale will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Nestled on E. Lee St., the historic 1902 home, once a dormitory for Weatherford College’s basketball team and later the abode of Air Force veteran and antique connoisseur Dick Upton, opened its doors to antique enthusiasts and collectors from far and wide.

Over four days, attendees were enveloped in a tapestry of time, as they navigated through rooms adorned with rare antiques - from wind-up toys to intricate tattoo collectibles, from luminous Clabber Girl metal signs to authentic Harley Davidson memorabilia. The cherry on top? The meticulously recreated upstairs country store, a testament to Mr. Upton's dedication to preserving history. The sale was not merely a transaction of items; it was a tribute to a man’s life journey and his undying love for antiques.

We're proud to have played a role in sharing this with the world. Thank you to all who joined us on this unforgettable journey down memory lane.
